Sixteen paramedic students graduated from the Navarro College Waxahachie campus program after completing a one-year program July 20.
Several of the students have jobs, and one is currently employed as a Waxahachie firefighter. Others are continuing their education to complete their associate’s degree, and three students graduated with their associates of applied science paramedic degree in May (pending completion of their summer courses), and one young lady will be entering the Fire Academy in the fall.
Navarro College is extremely proud of this class.
Fourteen of the students have passed the National Registry and are now certified paramedics with the credentials to work anywhere in the U.S.
Many of the students completed their Emergency Medical Technicians course at Navarro.
The staff looks forward to seeing these students grow and impact the community in which they will serve.
The college is still registering for the fall paramedic program and have the largest class in Director of Continuing Education Director Kristin Walker’s time at the school.
Registration is now in progress classes are scheduled to start Aug. 27.
