Jess Haupt has submitted his intent to run for Ennis City Commissioner of Ward 3.
“I graduated from the University of Wisconsin and earned a degree in business with a major in marketing. I currently own two businesses – Globe Products Co., Inc. and Buna Bean Coffee Roasters. I was a past president of the Ennis Chamber of Commerce and past member Ennis Airport Board. I am currently a member of the Ennis Economic Development Corporation,” Haupt said.
“I feel that my qualifications will enable me to make positive decisions that will help the city of Ennis continue to be a great place to live,” he added. “I want to help improve the quality of life for the residents of Ennis. There are tremendous opportunities for growth in Ennis as the expansion of the U.S. Highway 287 corridor moves eastward.”
Haupt said one of his goals for improving the quality of life in Ennis is to develop a citywide walking/bicycle trail by connecting several of the city parks together.
With his experience in industrial management, he feels he is qualified to help the city of Ennis keep growing and moving forward by becoming a place that people want to live in.
He is married to Brenda Haupt and they have two children, Claire who is attending the University of Texas at Austin and Will a junior at Ennis High school.
