The Navarro College Players will perform “Almost Maine” at the Navarro College Midlothian campus (lobby area), March 23-24 and March 30-31.

“Almost” is a mythological town in the Maine north country. It is the only place in continental America where one can view the northern lights. On one particular Friday mid-winter evening, the northern lights appear and release their nervous atoms onto the town of Almost stirring the residents to act in unpredictable ways.

The northern lights are brilliant, ribbon like, other-worldly display at night.  The northern lights occur when atoms become “excited” and electrons are sent streaming towards the earth. “Tonight, we will see them, the northern lights.”

Cast members include: Jordan Mosier, Brandon Williams, Ryan Clark, Samantha Abbate, Courtney Harrison, Kaycee Patterson, Benjamin Matthews, Steven Larue, Jessica Nessinger, Devinne Hanson and Cody Glass.

“Once again, Mr. Ernie Patterson (director and Navarro College theatre and speech instructor) has assembled a talented and diverse cast of characters,” said faculty member Steve Thompson. “Let’s see what the drama department has up their sleeve this time.”
