The fish in the holding tanks must be aclimated to the ocean water slowly before being released. A pump pulls water from the bay into the holding tank slowly, allowing the fish to adjust to the change. They take measurements of ocean water and tank water to know how different they are and how long the water will need to be pumped into the tank in order to match what is in the bay.
