Bertie Wiles Bundrick was born on December 23, 1930 to Jesse Gray and Rosa Hardaway Wiles in Childress, Texas. She departed on June 22, 2022. Bertie married James William Bundrick on September 19, 1952 in Waxahachie, Texas. They made their home in Bell Branch before moving to Avalon, Texas.
Bertie was a homemaker, after her retirement in 1992. A member of Primitive Baptist Church in Corsicana, she faithfully attended before moving into Blue Bonnet Rehab Facility in Ennis, Texas. Bertie always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. An excellent mother, and great cook, it will be remembered that whoever visited her home never went hungry!
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James Bundrick, parents Jesse and Rosa Wiles, and her brother Robert Lynn Wiles.
Bertie is survived by her sons Wayne Bundrick and wife Jeanette of Avalon, TX and David Bundrick and wife Tami of Ennis, TX; grandchildren Emily Hayes and husband James of Corsicana, TX, Brian Bundrick and wife Anna of Mansfield, Tx; adopted grandchildren Candace Whaley, William Morris, Traci and Stephen Isbell, Jimmy and Ashley Jennings, Malorie and Brad Ritter, Amanda Gilbert, Travis Gilbert, Jacob Aparicio, Jared Aparicio and Felix Hernandez; great grandchildren Megan Bundrick, Aiden Bundrick, Layla Bundrick, Gracie Hayes; sister in law Faye Wiles; Ellie Ritter, Kylie Wagner, Mason Moore, Witten Moore and Starr Aparicio.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6PM until 8PM, at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2PM, also at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel in Italy, Texas.
