Practice just started on Monday and teams were announced Wednesday afternoon but the Waxahachie Lady Indians will hit the court in scrimmage action Friday and Saturday.
Following photo day in the Solis Gym Friday, the Lady Indians will travel to Duncanville High School to compete against a variety of teams starting at 1 p.m.
Waxahachie opens play against Mesquite Horn at 1 p.m. in the red gym in varsity action while the JV will play Horn in the box gym and the freshman will play in the blue gym.
Ursuline is Waxahachie’s next opponent with matches starting at 2 p.m. The Lady Indian varsity will play in the red gym, JV in the box gym and freshmen in the blue gym.
The final matches of the scrimmage pit Waxahachie against Duncanville starting at 3 p.m. The varsity will play in the arena, JV in the box gym and freshmen in the blue gym.
Each game will have a 50-minute running clock with no officials. A 10-minute break will be held in between games.
Scrimmage action continues Saturday as Waxahachie travels to Plano West High School.
The varsity Lady Indians face off against Rockwall at 10 a.m. in the small gym while the junior varsity plays Plano West in the gray gym. The Waxahachie freshmen will not see action on Saturday.
In the big gym the varsity Lady Indians scrimmage Plano West at 11 a.m. while the JV remains in the gray gym to scrimmage Rockwall.
At noon the JV Lady Indians play Creekview in the gray gym before the varsity wraps up the day of scrimmages with a 1 p.m. contest in the small gym against Creekview.
The regular season begins Monday as Waxahachie plays host to rival Midlothian. Action is set to begin at 5 p.m. with freshman and JV.
