Before the sleet turned into ice on area roads early Tuesday morning the Waxahachie Indians were scheduled to travel to Lancaster in an important District 15-4A basketball game.
The bad road conditions pushed the games back to Wednesday, then Thursday before every idea possible was tossed around for the weekend.
When the snow fell Thursday night the schedule changed once again and put the Indians in an interesting situation in the push toward the playoffs.
Waxahachie will play at Lancaster on Monday before hosting Ennis Tuesday. The game at Mesquite Poteet game scheduled for Tuesday will be pushed back to Thursday.
All the games for the Runniní Indians will be played at regular times, 6 and 7:30 p.m., if weather permits. There is a chance of more sleet and bad road conditions next week.
The Lady Indians will† follow a similar schedule for the end of the basketball season but will play at home against Lancaster Monday, at Ennis on Tuesday and then at home on Thursday against Poteet.
All soccer action scheduled for the weekend was canceled and will not be made up while the Region IV swim meet is pushed back to Monday and Tuesday in Mansfield.
All baseball and softball scrimmages slated for Saturday were also canceled.
