Ellis County’s Texas Impact baseball team traveled to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to play in the 2007 Super Series National Tournament.

In pool play, the Impact won twice and tied once while outscoring its opponents 29-12. Because of their success, the team was seeded fifth out of the 30 teams at the tournament.

Once bracket play started, the Texas Impact had a setback as they dropped their first game, 6-5. However, the team did win its second game, 14-2, to stay alive in the hunt for a national title.

In Saturday’s action, Texas Impact lost an early morning game by one run, 11-10. The loss knocked Texas Impact out of the tournament, but the team still finished seventh out 30 teams.

Both of the teams losses were by one run and although the team finished seventh, Texas Impact outscored its six opponents 58-31 for an average score of nearly 10-5.
