AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Former University of Texas basketball player Albert Burditt has been charged with failing to pay more than $183,000 in child support for a son and daughter.
Burditt played at Texas from 1991-94. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets, then signed a contract to play in Europe. He played in Mexico earlier this year.
A criminal nonsupport conviction carries a penalty of up to two years in a state jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
Burditt was arrested Wednesday in Austin and will face the charges in Williamson County.
