FCA golf tournament
The annual Waxahachie Huddle FCA Heart and Soul golf tournament will be held Friday, March 25, at the Waxahachie Country Club. The cost is $85 per player and includes cart, green fee and lunch.

Pitching and catching camp
UR Baseball will be offering a pitching and catching clinic from 9-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Ages 7-18 are invited to participate in the clinic, which will feature three levels including beginner, intermediate and advanced.
“It’s our goal to help these young players take their game to the next level, and that’s exactly what this clinic is all about,” explains Blake Doolan, UR Baseball owner.

A memorial fundraiser run honoring the late David Milson will be held on March 26 at Cedar Hill High School to raise money for Rexanna’s Foundation in the fight against lung cancer. There will be a kids 1K run at 8:15 a.m. followed by the 5K run at 9 a.m.
Milson, the longtime head boys basketball coach at Cedar Hill, passed away earlier this year from the disease. A health fair at the high school will follow the races from 8:30-noon.
Early registration will run through March 11 with a cost of $25. Late registration will cost $30. Students can run in the 5K for $15 and the kids 1K run is $10 with no deadline.

Eastern Star golf tournament
Lancaster Chapter No. 943, Order of the Eastern Star will hold its first “Shooting for the Star” shotgun golf tournament on Sunday, April 10 at the Country View Golf Club, 240 W. Beltline Road in Lancaster.
Registration begins at noon and the shotgun tee-off is at 2:30 p.m. Entry fees are $60 per player. Make checks payable to: Lancaster O.E.S. Chapter No. 943, and mail the checks to J. Walker, 111 Red Oak Creek Drive, Red Oak, Texas 75154.
Hole sponsorships and advertising are available (Platinum $1000, Gold $500, Silver $250, Bronze $100). Sponsors will have signs posted on the course. Please e-mail sign artwork to email@example.com.
Prizes will be awarded for hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, as well as various door prizes. Refreshments will be served at the 19th hole after the tournament is finished.
