Heart and Soul golf

The annual Waxahachie Huddle FCA Heart and Soul golf tournament will be held Friday, March 25, at the Waxahachie Country Club. The cost is $85 per player and includes cart, green fee and lunch.

Baseball camp

Cedar Valley College will host a six-week Spring Training 2011 baseball program for players in grades 1-12 from Jan. 23 to March 6. Cedar Valley College head coach Robert Daily will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy.

MHS baseball events

The Midlothian baseball program will be getting their season started after the start of the new year. The Panthers will play county-rival Waxahachie in a game at the Ballpark in Arlington on March 14 at 3 p.m. Also, the alumni game is slated for April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the field. MHS soccer events

The Midlothian soccer booster club will meet at 6 p.m. on March 21.

Registration for the fifth annual Brandon Palady 4v4 Tournament is May 22. The tournament will be  June 10-12.

Junior Panther Club

Any youngster looking to join the Junior Panther Club can find more information by visiting Midlothian’s athletic department Website at www.midlothian-isd.net/athletics. The club is open to all students in sixth-grade or younger.

Youth baseball instruction

WYB player evaluation

It is time to dust off the cleats and oil up the glove and try out that new bat as the Waxahachie Youth Baseball Association player evaluation day will be held Saturday, March 5 at Optimist Fields.

T-ball players will report to Volentine Field at 9 a.m. for 6-year olds and 5-year olds will need to report at noon.

Coach pitch division players will report to the Stevenson Field at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Players in the 10U kid pitch division need to report to the Robnett Field at 10 a.m. for 10-year olds and 1 p.m. for 9-year olds.

12U kid pitch players will report to the Curry Field at 2 p.m. while 14U players will report to the Mount Patrick Field at 10 a.m.
