Waxahachie Indian jackets on sale
The RBI Club is offering Waxahachie Indian jackets for the upcoming season. Featuring a cordura/taslan outer shell with a four ounce interior quileted lining. Adult sizes S-XXXL.
Sample will be availble for viewing at the Jan. 16 meetings of the RBI Club parent meetings and at the First Pitch Banquet Feb. 7.
Cost is $115 and can be quoted upon request for size XXXL.
Deadline to order is Thursday, Feb. 7. Jackets will be received no later than March 14.

Free throw contest
Knights of Columbus chapter 8417 in Waxahachie will host its annual free throw contest at the YMCA beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27.
The event is for boys and girls ages 10-14; no entry fee is required. Winners will advance to regional and state competitions. Participants must bring a birth certificate.

Online registration is underway for the 2008 Waxahachie Youth Baseball league season. The league provides recreational baseball programs for youth age 5-18 in six age-based divisions.
Parents may register their children online at www.wybonline.org, or attend one of two in person registration events scheduled from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 9 and again on Feb. 16 at the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce on YMCA Drive.
The season will begin around April 1 with games continuing through the end of May.
Parents and players are also reminded WYB will again be hosting a senior division for students age 14-18, providing recreational baseball for high school students.

11U select baseball team seeks players
An 11U select baseball team is seeking competitive, driven players. The team offers a private field and workout facility and will be playing in a select league as well as tournaments. The team finished 7th nationally last year.

Spring leagues are forming to play at the Sports Complex. The total registration fee for each team will be $365. Registration forms and fees can be turned in at the coach’s meeting or City Hall located at 401 S. Rogers. Registration deadline is Feb. 18. Teams not paid by this date will not be included on schedules. Coaches meeting will be held on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in Waxahachie Civic Center. A 9-10 game schedule will be played. Proposed nights of play are as follow: Monday – Men’s Church League, Tuesday – Women’s League, Wednesday – Men’s League and Thursday – Co-ed. It is that time of year again, and the leagues will be starting just around the corner.
There are several rule changes, as well as several tournaments coming this year. All class clinics will be held in the Waxahachie Parks & Recreation office, and all outdoor clinics will be held at the Waxahachie Sports Complex. The 2008 dues are $60.00.
