WHS soccer to host final camp in August
The Waxahachie soccer teams are hosting one more camp this summer at Lumpkins Stadium.
A camp for boys and girls in the seventh through ninth grades will be August 13-15.

WCC offers junior golf camps
Waxahachie Country Club is offering week-long junior camps starting in June and continuing through the end of July.
These classes are open to all juniors 6-17 years old. The fee per week is $75.00.

SAGU volleyball camps in July
Southwestern Assemblies of God University will be hosting two camps in July.
The first is set for July 2-5 and is for students entering the 9th-12th grade. Times for the first session are from 9 a.m.-Noon.
The second camp is set for July 16-19 and is for students entering the 4th-8th grades.
There will be two different times for campers with the 4-6th graders going from 1-4 p.m. and the 7th-8th graders from 9 a.m.-Noon.
The cost of the camp is $75 and includes a champ shirt.

Eagle Advantage basketball camp
Eagle Advantage is hosting a basketball camp at its Waxahachie campus July 9-12.
The camp will be split into three sessions.
Incoming 1st-3rd graders will go from 8:30-11 a.m. and 4th-6th graders will go from 12-3 p.m. An afternoon session for 7th-12th graders is scheduled for 3-5:30 p.m. and is only for girls. The cost of the camp is $50 and each camper will receive a t-shirt.

WHS strength and conditioning camp
Waxahachie coaches are conducting a strength and conditioning camp until Thursday, July 26 for incoming 7th-12th grad students.
The camp will take place at the Waxahachie High School football stadium.
The camp will have two sessions beginning each morning at 7:30-9 a.m. and 9:30-11 a.m. The camp runs Monday through Thursday.

Loe, Rangers keep winning, 8-3
DETROIT (AP) - Marlon Byrd drove in three runs and the Texas Rangers ended Jeremy Bonderman's unbeaten streak at 17 starts, beating the Detroit Tigers 8-3 on Monday night.
Bonderman (8-1) allowed four runs _ two earned _ and seven hits over six innings. He struck out a season-high nine, but walked four, matching the total in his last five starts combined, and made a key third-inning error.
Bonderman's last loss came in Minnesota on Sept. 10. His unbeaten streak ended one short of Bobo Newsom's 67-year-old team record.
Kameron Loe (4-6) had his third straight strong outing since giving up nine runs in 2 2-3 innings against Detroit on June 7.
