Spring softball at the WSC
Spring softball leagues are forming at the Waxahachie Sports Complex. Registration is $400 per team. Deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 21. Teams not paid by the deadline will not be included on the schedule. The coaches meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Registration forms can be turned in at the meeting or at City Hall, 401 South Rogers. A 9-10 game schedule will be played with games tenativley set for Monday (Men's church), Wednesday (Menís D League) and Thursday (Co-ed).

Cedar Valley College will host a six-week Spring Training 2011 baseball program for players in grades 1-12 from Jan. 23 to March 6. Cedar Valley College head coach Robert Daily will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Sessions are offered in advanced hitting, pitching and catching at $99 for six weeks. It is baseball time in Waxahachie. Registration is open online at wybonline.org for play in the Waxahachie Youth Baseball association. The last day to register is Feb. 28. Midlothian Amatuer Baseball
The Midlothian Amatuer Baseball Association is still holding online signup for the spring 2011 season. Signup is open until Feb. 12 at www.midlothianbaseball.com.
Registration fees are $95 plus $5 for a city usage fee. If you are new to MABA, please bring a copy of your childís birth certificate. Opening day is set for March 26.

MHS baseball events
The Midlothian baseball program will be getting their season started after the start of the new year. The program will hold Meet the Panther night in the high school cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19. The Panthers will play county-rival Waxahachie in a game at the Ballpark in Arlington on March 14 at 3 p.m. Also, the alumni game is slated for April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the field. The Midlothian soccer booster club will meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16 and March 21.
Registration for the fifth annual Brandon Palady 4v4 Tournament is May 22. The tournament will be† June 10-12.
Junior Panther Club

Momentum youth track club camp
The Momentum Youth Track Club will offer a one-day training camp for boys and girls ages 6-18 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Frank Seale Middle School.† Cost of the camp is $35.
WHS sports week
If the weather permits, Waxahachie High School will be back in action this week with several big games.
In basketball, the Indians will play at Lancaster Monday, at home against Ennis Tuesday and then at Mesquite Poteet Thursday. The Lady Indians will host Lancaster Monday, play at Ennis Tuesday and then host Mesquite Poteet on Friday for senior night.
In soccer, both varsity teams are scheduled to play at Waco against University on Tuesday before taking a week off before opening district play against Ennis on Feb. 15.
The Region IV swim meet will be held Monday and Tuesday in Mansfield.
Baseball kicks into gear with a scrimmaged Tuesday against Arlington Heights at Richards Park while the softball team will host Bishop Lynch at 4 p.m. Friday. On Saturday the Indians will host Arlington Martin in scrimmage action at Richards. The Saturday scrimmaged is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
