Heart and Soul golf tourney

The annual Waxahachie Huddle FCA Heart and Soul golf tournament will be held Friday, March 25, at the Waxahachie Country Club. The cost is $85 per player and includes cart, green fee and lunch.

Spring WSC adult softball

Spring softball leagues are forming at the Waxahachie Sports Complex. Registration is $400 per team. Deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 21. Teams not paid by the deadline will not be included on the schedule. The coaches meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Registration forms can be turned in at the meeting or at City Hall, 401 South Rogers. A 9-10 game schedule will be played with games tentatively set for Monday (Menís church), Wednesday (Menís D League) and Thursday (Co-ed).

WYB registration

It is baseball time in Waxahachie. Registration is open online at wybonline.org for play in the Waxahachie Youth Baseball association. The last day to register is Feb. 28. In person registration will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. every Saturday in February at the Optimist Youth Center on Patrick Street. The last day for in-person registration is Feb. 26. Waxahachie sports week

The Waxahachie Runniní Indians play in Forney Tuesday in the final regular season basketball game of the season while the Lady Indians open the softball season with a 7 p.m. game at home against Midlothian. In soccer both WHS teams open district play against Ennis at Wilemon with the girls starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Mary Jane Eubank Memorial Softball tournament will start at 8 a.m. Thursday and conclude at 8 p.m. Saturday at Lady Indian Field on the campus of Waxahachie High School. The Lady Indians will play against Duncanville to open the tournament at 8 a.m. Thursday before playing against W.T. White at 8 p.m. to end the first day of† action. On Friday, Waxahachie will play at Noon against Arlington Heights before playing against West at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Waxahachie will play at 8 a.m. against Cleburne before ending the day with an 8 p.m. game against Sam Houston. Each game will be seven innings or one hour and forth-five minutes.

District 28-4A soccer action continues on Friday as the Waxahachie teams play at Ferris. Games will start at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the WHS powerlifting team will lift in the final meet of the season to qualify for regionals and the varsity baseball will scrimmage in Midlothian at 11 a.m.
