On Wednesday night the Waxahachie varsity soccer teams played host to Hillsboro despite the cold weather.
The Lady Indians improved to 6-2 on the season as they topped Hillboro, 5-0.
Waxahachie had 27 shots while holding Hillsboro to zero.
Megan Willoughby scored the Lady Indiansí first goal on a header in the 13th minute off an assist by Emily Gore.
Caroline Clifton scored the teamís second goal in the 23rd minute as Emily Saunders recorded the assist.
In the 41st minute, Natalie Kelly scored on a free kick from 45-yards out. Saunders scored a goal in the 46th minute on an assist by Willoughby.
The gameís final goal came in the 59th minute off the foot of Saunders.
The Indians defeated Hillsboro, 1-0, to improve to 3-5-1 on the season.
Waxahachie had 10 shots on goal while Hillsboro was held to two.
Jonathan Salinas scored the lone goal in the 23rd minute off an assist by Thomas McNamara.
Both teams will play tomorrow in the Midlothian Cement Capital Cup.
Girls will begin play at 1 p.m. at the track while the boys play at 9:30 a.m.
