For the second week in a row, a SAGU Volleyball player has won a player of the week award.

This week, Rachel Brown has been named the Red River Conference Setter of the Week for the dates September 3-9.

Brown, a sophomore setter from New Braunfels, Texas, set the stage for a week in which the Lady Lions won four of six matches.

In all, she contributed 188 assists (9.89 per game) including 52 in a four-game victory over the University of Dallas (Texas) that set a new school record.

The versatile Brown also had 71 digs and 22 kills. SAGU moved to 8-3 on the season with an 0-1 mark in the RRAC.

Last week, teammate, Kelani Keoho was named the NCCAA Player of the week from August 27 through Sept. 2.

The Lady Lions will jump back into conference action when they host Huston-Tillotson at 3 p.m. today at the Full Life Center.
