The ROYBA boys and girls league play is now in full swing.

The league, which is made up of teams with ages ranging from 4-12, held practice games in December and started league play January 12.

The regular season will run through February 23, and games are played at the Red Oak Junior High School and Acorn Academy gymnasiums on Saturdays.

The league also has a new and improved web site where parents can find schedule and special league information.

The association’s new president, Belvis Noland, has made a lot of positive changes to the league and it was nice to see the bleachers full of spectators and fans cheering for all the players this past Saturday.

The league will also host its annual Coaches Game on February 2,  4 p.m. in the Red Oak Junior High gym.

Players and parents are encouraged to come out and support their coaches and yes, have a little laugh at their expense.
