MANSFIELD – The Brock Lady Eagles ended the Palmer Lady Bulldogs’ season on Saturday with a 10-0 win in five innings. The game played itself out much like Friday’s contest after both teams got off to a slow start.

However, this time around, Brock’s defense kept everything in front of them allowing only three hits as they scored six runs in the fourth inning to pull away.

Brock will advance to the region II final game versus either Edgewood or Sadler S&S Consolidated. Palmer finishes their season with a 21-7 record while making it to the fourth round of the playoffs.

The game was scoreless through two and a half innings on Saturday but Brock went up 1-0 in the bottom of the third when Cheyenne DelaGarza hit a double to left field and drove in Lindsay Hays from second.

Palmer just couldn’t get anything going on offense in the top of the fourth inning and it remained 1-0.

Brock scored six runs on eight hits in the bottom of the fourth to gain a  7-0 lead heading into the fifth.

Palmer couldn’t respond in the fifth and Brock brought across three more runs to run-rule the Lady Bulldogs.
