Midlothian seniors Jessica Moore and Keri Richard have signed to play softball next season at Western Texas in Snyder. Melissa Lloyd will play at Northwood University in Cedar Hill.

Moore a four-year starter for the Panthers at shortstop plans to major in education.

She is the daughter of Sylvia and Marty Moore.

“Beating Midway this year was the biggest accomplishment for me and this team,” Moore said. “We all played together and it was as close to a perfect game as anything i have ever played.”

Richard is a three-year letterman at MHS playing third base. She plans to major in kinesiology.

Richard is the daughter of Patrick and Dana Richard.

“I can’t tell you how big the win over Midway was,” Richard said. “We all finally stepped up and we all played as a team.”

Lloyd is also a three-year letterman at MHS, patrolling second base. She has not decided a choice of major at this point, but chose Northwood because it has a good school of business.

“Midway was the biggest game for me at Midlothian,” Lloyd said. “Beating the No. 1 team in the state was the biggest thing I have ever done.”
