LAKE DALLAS — After jumping out to a 9-0 lead, Red Oak never saw the end zone again as Lake Dallas scored 30 straight points to take a 30-9 Friday at Falcon Stadium.
Taylor McCuller got the scoring started for Red Oak in the first quarter when he scored on a 40-yard pass from Kevin Pruett.
Later in the opening quarter, Red Oak forced a safety when Lake Dallas fumbled the ball out of the end zone, giving the Hawks a 9-0 advantage.
Soon after the safety, Lake Dallas’ offense went to work with receiver Alvin Blackmon leading the charge.
Blackmon caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Zack Waggoner before the end of the first quarter to cut the Falcons’ deficit to 9-7.
Lake Dallas’ James Franklin added a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Michael Murray connected on a 21-yard field goal late in the first half to take a 17-9 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, Blackmon struck again as he caught a 78-yard touchdown pass from Waggoner before the quarterback kept the last touchdown on a 1-yard scamper.
Nic Boyd led the Hawks with 110 yards on 17 carries while McCuller was the leading receiver with two catcher for 50 yards.
The Hawks travel to Hillsboro next week before returning home to host Thomas Jefferson.
