The Midlothian Lady Panthers registered a huge win over cross county rival Waxahachie but followed up with a tough 52-38 loss to Lancaster on the road.

Natalie Ruud, a sophomore post player, led the Panthers with 19 points.

But, scoring was not consistent enough to stay with the talented Lady Tigers. Hannah Miller scored 6 points as did Cameron Hartson. Meghan Morrow added 5, and Rachael Walters 2.

The Lady Panthers five district games remaining on the slate.

In order to have a run at earning one of the three playoff slots alloted the district the Lady Panthers will need to run the table against Arlington Seguin on the road, at home against Ennis, at Corsicana, at home against Red Oak and on the road against the Lady Indians of Waxahachie.

Senior night for the Blue Crew will be Feb. 1 when the Panthers host the Red Oak Lady Hawks.
