The Waxahachie Lady Indians’ junior varsity soccer team completed the JV Tournament held at Lumpkins Stadium with two wins, one loss and one tie.

With the good performance in the tournament, the Lady Indians are 5-1-1 on the season as they are not scheduled to play again until February.

Waxahachie opened the tournament with a 3-0 win against Grand Prairie before topping Arlington Bowie, 2-0, on Friday. Late Friday, the Lady Indians tied Aledo, 1-1, in a hard fought game.

In cold, windy weather on Saturday, the Lady Indians lost to Richland 1-0.

Waxahachie’s junior varsity boys team’s best performance in the tournament came Friday night against Aledo in a 2-2 tie.

To open the tournament, Waxahachie lost to Grand Prairie, 5-0. In the second game, the Indians lost to RL Turner, 3-0. In the final game of the tournament for the Indians the team lost to Arlington Seguin, 1-0.

In other action on Saturday, Richland girls topped Aledo 1-0, RL Turner boys topped Aledo 5-0, Grand Prairie girls beat Arlington Bowie, 1-0, and the Grand Prairie boys defeated RL Turner II 2-1.
