The National Christian College Athletic Association has named Kelani Keoho as the Player of the Week for August 27 through Sept. 2.

Keoho, sophomore outside hitter for the Lady Lions of Southwestern Assemblies of God University helped lead her team to a 4-1 week.

Over the weekend at the Wayland Baptist Coke-Cola tournament, Kelani Keoho tallied 53 kills, 14 aces, and 55 digs.

Keoho played a key role on the front and back row as a staple in the SAGU game plan.

Three times Kelani reached double-double status in kills and in digs.

Scores are as follows: Wayland Baptist University 3-1, Sul Ross 3-0, Saint Gregory‚s University 3-0, Lubbock Christian University 0-3, and Mary-Harden Baylor 3-0.

The Lady Lions are playing four games this weekend and are 1-1 through Friday.

The team beat Southern Nazarene University, but lost to UT-Brownsville, which is a conference opponent.

SAGU was set to play again Saturday afternoon at the Full Life Center.
