By sweeping through pool play, Waxahachie advanced to face three 5A schools in gold bracket play.

First was Euless Trinity, who the Lady Indians beat 25-15, 25-19.

Next was Colleyville Heritage, who gave Waxahachie a tight contest until the Lady Indians pulled out the win 25-23, 25-21.

But in the championship, the Lady Indians fell to Justin Northwest in a three-game match of epic proportions, 28-26, 19-25, 25-21.

The JV team will be in action again Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at home against Ennis.
