Waxahachie’s JV Green team traveled to Fort Worth last Thursday to play Arlington Heights.

The JV Indians won 43-0 and are now 3-1 on the season. The Indians begin district play this Thursday at home against Corsicana.

Scoring the Indians’ first touchdown was Cody Martin, who returned an interception 100 yards.

Later in the second quarter, Arxavier Boyd scored on a 67-yard run and the Indians converted the 2-point conversion attempt.

Boyd scored the next two touchdowns on runs of 15 and 45 yards as the Indians began to put the game out of reach.

Later in the second half, Gerrard Randle scored on a 1-yard run and Andrew Kindred followed with a 1-yard touchdown run of his own to close the scoring.

Boyd led all rushers with 165 yards on 10 carries. Randle had 31 rushing yards and Venique Benton finished with 25.

The defense played well with Cody Martin’s interception return, two strips and a fumble recovery. Also playing well on the defensive side was Chris Tosch with two fumble recoveries, Kindred with one fumble recovery and the rest of the defense.

The JV White team traveled to Corsicana and tied 12-12. The White team is now 2-1-1 on the season.

Playing well for the White team was Carlos Cadena, Neiman Fletcher, Tarik Byrd, Kennan Sherwood, Bradley Compton and Jason Gonzales.
