By Wednesday there is another chance of snow and bad road conditions but until then Waxahachie High School is slated to take part in a busy week of sports action.

The Waxahachie Runnin’ Indians will play at Lancaster tonight in District 15-4A basketball action before hosting Ennis Tuesday. The game at Mesquite Poteet game scheduled for Tuesday will be pushed back to Thursday.

All the games for the Runnin’ Indians will be played at regular times, 6 and 7:30 p.m., if weather permits. Tuesday’s game against Ennis is the final regular season home game for the Indians and will be senior night.

The Lady Indians will follow a similar schedule for the end of the basketball season but will play at home against Lancaster tonight, at Ennis on Tuesday and then at home on Thursday against Poteet. The game on Thursday is the final game of the season for the Lady Indians as the team will not make the playoffs. It will also be senior night.

All soccer action scheduled for the weekend was canceled and will not be made up while the Region IV swim meet was pushed back to today and Tuesday in Mansfield.

All baseball and softball scrimmages slated for Saturday were also canceled.

On Tuesday both varsity soccer teams are scheduled to play at Waco University before playing at Aledo on Friday.

A softball scrimmaged is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday against Bishop Lynch in Waxahachie while the Indians’ baseball team will host Arlington Martin in a twin bill Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

In tennis, the Waxahachie athletes will be on the court in Ennis to take part in the annual 287 Tournament.
