With two District 28-4A games remaining the Waxahachie Indians are in prime position to earn a playoff berth.

Waxahachie defeated Lancaster 4-1 Friday in Lancaster after taking a 2-0 lead at the half.

Four different players scored for Waxahachie as Nathan Dyke picked up a goal off a Junior Mora assist before Michael McNabb scored unassisted.

With the 2-0 lead the Indians added a couple of goals in the second half for good measure as Luke Shatwell and Yovany Arvizu both scored unassisted while Lancaster managed to push across one goal.

Waxahachie will host Red Oak on Tuesday for senior night at Wilemon Stadium before playing in Corsicana on Friday. Both games start at 5:30 p.m.

The Indians are tied with Corsicana for third place in district, with Ferris four points back of Corsicana in fifth place. Waxahachie defeated Corsicana 2-0 in the first round and has the tie-breaker.
