Howard white warriors kept on their winning streak alive Tuesday night with a 12-6 victory against DeSoto East.

The Warriors scored early with a wide receiver reverse run by Jonathan Hultz.

The Warrior defense also played well, with big plays by Doug Wheeler, Hultz, and the entire defensive line.

Matthew Perez also came up with a great interception and long return into Eagle territory. The Warriors scored again on a boot leg by quarterback Josh Berry who played another great game on offense and defense.

The team has now won three straight games, including a 6-0 victory against Kennemer and a 24-13 win against West.

The white team will be in action again Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on the road against Ennis.

Howard eighth grade green team

The Warriors got off to a fast start Wednesday, but slowed down in the second quarter as the green team lost itís first game of the season 20-33 against DeSoto East.

The green team was leading the game 12-0 thanks to two rushing touchdowns by Trevon Smith.

Desoto East came back with two scores of their own in the second quarter. Halftime came with East winning 13-12.

The second half was hard fought by both the Warrior offense and defense.

Hunter Hocutt and Kenneth Washington made some great plays on defense.

Jameel Easley made a big interception and then returned it 40 yards into East territory.

Oscar Gonzalez and Kaelen Delce connected on a big 40-yard pass play to set up a Warrior touchdown.

The team had won its previous two games, both at home. First was a 16-7 win versus Kennemer and a 44-25 victory on the road against DeSoto West.

The green team will be in action against at Ennis at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Howard seventh grade green team

The 7th Grade Howard Warriors took on Desoto East Tuesday night.

The green team won its fourth straight contest 18-12.

The first play of the game resulted in a 79-yard touchdown run by Jalen Reagor.

LaJustin Massey and Alec Sanchez also scored touchdowns. DeíVeon Sargent had a big interception to help seal the victory. Eris Miles recovered a fumble.

The green team has also defeated DeSoto West 12-0, Kennemer 35-13 and Lancaster 25-21.

The green team will be in action again Tuesday against Ennis at 5:30 p.m. at Wilemon Stadium.

Howard seventh grade white team

The white team tied its game against DeSoto East 6-6.

Kenedy Snell scored the only touchdown of the game for the white team on a toss for 45 yards.

Key players for the Warriors win was Tyler Navarro, Jacob Hernandez, and Antwon Johnson.

The team will play Ennis at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wilemon Staium.
