Last season, Waxahachie products Boomer Collins and Drew Harrison faced each other as rivals in the Big XII conference. This year, their respective teams will meet with much more on the line.

Harrison and the second-seeded Oklahoma Sooners (41-17) will face Collins and the third-seeded Patriots of Dallas Baptist (39-17) in the Fort Worth regional at 2 p.m. on Friday. Host team TCU (42-17) will play fourth-seeded Oral Roberts (36-20) in the nightcap at 7 p.m..

Each of the four-team, double-elimination regionals will be played June 3-6. The winners of each regional will advance to the Super Regional round June 10-13.

The Fort Worth Regional is matched up with the Houston Regional, featuring No. 1 Rice, No. 2 Baylor, No. 3 Cal and No. 4 Alcorn State. The sites of the next round will be announced on June 6 at 10 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.

Harrison has played in 18 games this year for Oklahoma with five starts. He is batting .200 with five hits, eight runs and a homer. Collins, who played at Nebraska last season, is sitting out the year due to transfer rules but will be with the team when they play.

Earlier this season, the Sooners dropped a 3-2 decision to the Patriots in a mid-week game in Norman. Oklahoma does own a 7-4 win over TCU on the road. Dallas Baptist swept a two-game series with TCU over the regular season with wins of 4-3 and 9-7.
