It’s baseball time in Waxahachie. The RBI Club First Pitch Banquet was held at the Howard Eighth Grade Center on Thursday night to kick off the 2011 Waxahachie Indian baseball season. Former coach Bill Midkiff was the guest speaker and wore his Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall-of-Fame jacket while speaking to the capacity crowd about “expecting to win.” After a couple of scrimmages, the Indians will open the season on the road in a tournament before playing at home in the Robert Dulin Tournament on Thursday, March 3.
