When the Midlothian Panthers travel to Duncanville this week, they will be met with a big task to try and slow down a high-powered offense.

The Duncanville Panthers (3-1, 1-0 in 5-5A) are riding a three-game win streak and have scored more than 40 points in the last two games.

They are led by three key weapons. First is the play caller, senior quarterback Deandre Grimes, who has 862 passing yards.

Grimes has completed 60 of his 89 passes and eight touchdowns. He has also rushed 32 times for 119 yards and a pair of scores.

Junior running back Jaquan Cole is also off to a great start this season. Cole has 492 yards on 61 carries, thatís 8.07 yards per carry, and has scored six times. He also has six catches for 31 yards.

Senior wide receiver Jeff Thomas has been Grimesí favorite target. Thomas has 23 catches for 321 yards and three touchdowns, two of which came last week against Grand Prairie.

The Midlothian Panthersí (2-2, 0-1 in 5-5A)defense is coming off a pair of games where it got burned in the second half.

Justin Northwest put up 42 points two weeks ago, 33 of which came in the second half.

South Grand Prairie scored 28 second half points last week.

Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday in Duncanville at Panther Stadium.
