The Midlothian varsity boys cross country took top honors at Burleson last week defeating 33 teams from across North Texas.

The Panthers finished on top with 72 points followed by Frisco Centennial - 105, Cedar Hill - 201, Keller Fossil Ridge - 217, Haltom - 232, Richland -234, Azle - 269, Weatherford - 276, Timberview - 298, and Lamar - 302 to round out the top-10.

Individually Kyle Lister took second place with a time of 15:33. Raylon Evans took fifth with a time of 15:47. Neal Ellis had a top-10 finish as well coming in eight with a time 15:53.

Other Panther individual results were: 22. Sam Emerson - 16.47; 37. Kenny Kitts - 17:09; 81. Colby Brooks - 17.58; 115. Alex Claus - 18:37 and Jon Sides - 19:18.

The Lady Panthers finished in the eighth slot out of 38 teams.

Carly Kitts had a top-10 finish coming in ninth with a time of 13.22.

Other Lady Panther individual results were: 45. Alyssa Mayben - 14:19; 70. Kayla Lister - 14.44; 78. Vicky Huerta - 14.52; and 82. Meredith Davis - 14.55.

This week the teams travelled to Arlington’s Vandergriff Park for the Movin Mavs Run.

The Panther boys took second place and the girls took ninth.

Individual results for MHS were: 5. Kyle Lister, 7. Neal Ellis, 12. Raylon Evans, 22. Sam Emerson and 45. Kenny Kitts.

Carly Kitts took second place in the girls competition.

The team will be in Keller for the Fossil Ridge Run this week.
