Gary Dreyer did something last weekend that no one else has been able to do, not even the pros.

Dreyer shot a course record 59 at the Waxahachie Country Club Saturday, Aug. 6, while golfing with a group of friends.

He had 11 birdies and no bogeys for his round.

The course record had stood for many years at 60 with numerous players, including a former tour player, owning the mark.

He is a longtime member of the Waxahachie Country Club and played baseball for his dad Eugene Dreyer at Midlothian High School.
