BOULDER, Colo. (AP) _ Aija Putnina scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Jackie McFarland scored 30 points as Colorado defeated TCU 96-90 in overtime Sunday in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Colorado will host Marquette in the semifinals Wednesday.
The Buffaloes trailed 20-4 early on but fought back.
With 1:45 left in regulation, Whitney Houston sank a 24-foot 3-pointer as the shot clock expired to put Colorado up 74-72. Her running layup with less than five seconds left gave the Buffaloes a 76-74 lead.
Then Moneka Knight threw up a desperation shot for TCU that missed, but Helen Roden put it back as time ran out. The officials called Roden's shot good, and the game went into overtime.
Colorado went on a 12-3 run to open the overtime period and held TCU back the rest of the way.
Adrianne Ross scored a team-high 26 points for TCU.
