It was another double digit win for the Waxahachie Lady Indians in District 28-4A play as Caroline Clifton had a hat trick in the team’s 11-0 win against Lancaster Friday.
With the win the Lady Indians are 7-0-1 in district play heading into Tuesday’s game against Red Oak that will likely decide the district championship.
Waxahachie (16-1-4) took a 9-0 lead at the half against Lancaster before pulling off in the second half and working on its passing game.
Clifton picked up her first three-goal game of the season while team leading scorer Emily Saunders added two.
Freshman Tierney Thomison scored two goals, Jacey Hamilton two, Kayla Lawrence one and senior Natalie Kelly one from 30 yards out.
Tuesday’s game against Red Oak will be senior night as it is the final home game of the season for Waxahachie at Wilemon Stadium.
Varsity boys will begin the night at 5:30 before the Lady Indians play at 7:30.
