WHS soccer to host final camp in August
The Waxahachie soccer teams are hosting one more camp this summer at Lumpkins Stadium.
A camp for boys and girls in the seventh through ninth grades will be August 13-15.

WCC offers junior golf camps
Waxahachie Country Club is offering week-long junior camps starting in June and continuing through the end of July. These classes are open to all juniors 6-17 years old. The fee per week is $75.00.

WHS strength and conditioning camp
Waxahachie coaches are conducting a strength and conditioning camp until Thursday, July 26 for incoming 7th-12th grad students.
The camp will take place at the Waxahachie High School football stadium.
The camp will have two sessions beginning each morning at 7:30-9 a.m. and 9:30-11 a.m. The camp runs Monday through Thursday.

Free male physicals for WISD athletes
Waxahachie ISD physicians will conduct free male physicals for the 2007-2008 school year on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Waxahachie High School JW Williams Gymnasium beginning at 9:00 am. All male athletes who are interested in participating in athletics for the WISD next year must have a physical in order to begin participation. These physicals are free of charge and this will be the only time that a free physical will be administered to male athletes for the upcoming school year. All athletes coming to the physicals on July 28 must bring the UIL physical form with the medical history part signed by a parent. These forms may be obtained from the training room office at the high school. Reporting times for the physicals are as follows:
Senior and Juniors - 9:00 am
Freshman and Sophmores - 9:15 am
7th and 8th graders - 9:30 am

Annual Cinco de Mayo qualifier Aug. 4
The Waxahachie Sports Complex will be hosting the ninth annual Cinco de Mayo District 35 Qualifier menís softball tournament on August 4 after the tournament has been rained out twice already.
Entry fee is $150 per team and the deadline for registering is Sunday, July 29.

Junior-Adult Golf Tournament at WCC
The Waxahachie Country Club will host the first annual Junior-Adult Golf Tournament on Wednesday, August 8 at 9 a.m.
The 9-hole modified scramble is for parents and children in kindergarten through the 12th grade.
Juniors without adult playing partners will be paired with a volunteer member of the Waxahachie Country Club.
The cost is $10 for juniors and members and $20 for adults. The deadline to register is August 1 and the tournament is limited to the first 80 paid teams.
