The Waxahachie Indians will open the bi-district playoffs at 7:30 tonight against Pflugerville Hendrickson at A&M Consolidated.

The game will be carried locally by KBEC 1390 and Facebook updates will be posted online on the Waxahachie Newspapers Inc-Sports page.

Game two will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at A&M Consolidated with game three, if necessary, following 30 minutes after game two.

Hendrickson is the District 16-4A champion while the Indians finished tied for second in District 15-4A and enter the playoffs as the No. 4 seed after a seeding tournament. A&M Consolidated is located east of Austin, about 150 miles from Waxahachie.

Red Oak plays Bryan Rudder in the bi-district playoffs at 7:30 p.m. in Bryan on Thursday before playing at 2 p.m. Saturday in Red Oak. If needed a game three would be played 30 minutes after game two on Saturday in Red Oak.

In other Ellis County baseball playoff action, Waxahachie Faith Family Academy opens 1A play against Hubbard on Friday at 5 p.m. at Hill College in Hillsboro.

Maypearl plays at home tonight against Bruceville-Eddy in a best of three series. Game two is Friday in Bruceville while a game three will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hill College. Palmer has a first round bye.

In 3A action Ferris plays at 7 p.m. tonight at Copeland Field in Mesquite against Wills Point in a best of three series. Game two is Friday at Copeland while a game three would be Saturday.
