HOUSTON (AP) — Free agent safety Nick Ferguson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Houston Texans, his agent says.
Agent Jack Reale told Houston television station KRIV that a contract agreement was in place that would bring Ferguson to the Texans from the Denver Broncos, where he played the last five seasons.
"Nick is excited to be in Houston and to be with (head coach) Gary Kubiak and (general manager) Rick Smith again," Reale said.
He played for Kubiak and Smith in Denver.
The Texans did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press Wednesday night.
