AUSTIN (AP) - Heather Haas pitched a one-hitter and Shiner scored all its runs in the third inning of a 3-0 victory against McLeod in the Class 1A semifinals of the UIL state softball tournament Thursday.

Bosqueville defeated Seymour 6-0 in the other semifinal behind Michelle Miller's four-hitter. The championship game is Saturday.

Haas (21-6) had eight strikeouts and scored a run for Shiner (22-6-1), which is playing in its seventh state tournament. Paige Michalec and Alyssa Strauss each had an RBI during the three-run third against McLeod (14-20).

Miller (13-6) struck out five and walked one to lead Bosqueville (25-7) past Seymour (25-9-1). During a four-run fifth inning that extended a 2-0 lead, Miller drove in the first run with a single and scored the last on a sacrifice fly by Loren McCormick.

In 2A, Kylie Roos struck out 16 and Danielle Peck hit a two-run single to give Aubrey a 4-3 victory over Pattonville Prairiland in the semifinals of the UIL Class 2A state softball tournament Thursday.

Aubrey (31-2-1) will meet Troy in the championship on Saturday after the Lady Trojans defeated Coahoma 11-1 in the other semifinal game.

Aubrey got all of its runs in the seventh inning to beat the Patriots (31-10-1). Peck's clutch hit with two outs scored Kelly Gattuso and Miranda Blevins to win the game.

Roos (17-2) set a state Class 2A strikeout record with the 16 strikeouts in seven innings, breaking the mark of 14 set by Kayla Jones of Archer City in 2001.

Troy's Michelle Ege allowed two hits and a run in the first inning.

She then retired 16 of the next 17 Coahoma Bulldogettes, including 15 straight, to lead the Lady Trojans (34-3) to a run-rule shortened win over Coahoma (31-7).

Ege struck out eight while allowing only the two first-inning hits. She also had two hits and four RBIs.
