The Maypearl football team suffered through inexperience, injuries and adversity over the last couple of years, but the youthful Panthers overcame a lot to end this season with a 1-9 record.

The win over Rio Vista came in the season finale, but the coaches across District 11-2A were well aware of the prowess of the Panther players.

The coaches named Derrell Ashlock, a junior running back, to the First Team Offensive unit.

Justin Helms, also a junior, was named to the First Team Defensive unit a defensive end.

Making the Second Team Offensive unit were sophomores Austin Weatherford at tackle and Brett Salter at punter.

Making the Second Team Defensive unit were juniors Taylor Beck at defensive back, and Jacob Cooper at defensive end; sophomore linebacker Max Boston and freshman defensive tackle Rusty Hensel.
