Walter H. Williams, 53, of Waxahachie passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at a Dallas hospital. He was born to Porter and Lucie Williams on March 21, 1957, in Omaha, Neb. He worked at Tyler Refrigeration for many years until its closure. Walter volunteered at Waxahachie Cares. He loved the water. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and scuba diving. He had a green thumb and was able to grow anything he planted. He enjoyed and loved his children and grandchildren and was the best Poppy ever.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Williams of Waxahachie; son, Michael Williams and wife, Lauren of Waxahachie; daughter, Sarah Williams and Kevin of Waxahachie; granddaughter, Natalie of Waxahachie; a special borrowed son, Jermey Parmley of Waxahachie; two brothers, Porter Williams and Haidee of Salt Cay, Turks and Caicos; Bill Williams and wife, Brenda of Thurmont, Md.; in-laws, Don and Ruby Hays, Lori and Jerry Peebles, Joanna and Butch Campbell, Jay and Jancy Hayes, Donna and John Willis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an uncle, Charles Williams.
There will be a private ceremony held at a later date in his hometown.
