Tina Creed Dulin, 95, of Waxahachie passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab of Italy. She was born June 18, 1916, in Childress, Texas, to Leamon and Ollie (Odom) Creed. Tina married John Fred Dulin on Aug. 29, 1936. She was a lifetime member of Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie. Her childhood memories included receiving a card and gift from President Franklin D. Roosevelt, recognizing her as a fellow survivor of polio, which she had suffered from as a toddler. Taking great pride in her role as a homemaker, Tina enjoyed many interests throughout the years including gardening, baby-sitting and hairstyling. Above all, she was devoted to her faith and to her family and friends, to whom she enjoyed sending cards.

Survivors include three daughters, Freddie Williams and husband, James, Jewel Osborn and Glenda Coplen all of Waxahachie; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. 

Tina was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Vester Dulin; three brothers, Acklee Creed, Jack Creed and L.W. Creed Jr.; four sisters, Wiona McCarter, Marjorie McCutcheon, Julia Sims and Sylvia Lee Creed; and one step-sister, Leta Leaks.

The family would like to express their gratitude and love for Lighted Pathways Hospice and for the employees of Trinity Mission Health and Rehab.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, with funeral services to follow in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Oak Branch Cemetery.
