Thelma Brock, 87, went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning, Aug. 18. She was born in Fulbright, Texas, to Phillip and Dixie Wright on Sept. 12, 1923. Thelma married Aron Lee Brock on May 11, 1957.
In her younger years, Thelma loved to play softball. She was an avid reader, gardener and loved to paint. Thelma was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Thelma worked for LTV during World War II. She was later employed by Grace Temple Baptist Church as a librarian and secretary. She loved working for her Lord.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Malcolm, Herman, Buster and Charles Wright.
She is survived by her husband, A. Lee Brock; daughter, Traci Lea Hamblet and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Jeffery Hamblet II and wife, Lauren, Lyndi Brightwell and husband, Richard; great-grandchildren, Kale Hamblet and William Brightwell.

A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Waxahachie Funeral Home, 1201 W. U.S. Highway 287 Bypass, Waxahachie. A private graveside service will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
