Robert “Bob” Knoy, 65, of Maypearl passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, in a Dallas hospital. He was born to the late Herman W. Knoy and Victoria McWilliams (Knoy) Lowe on Aug. 9, 1943, in Martinsville, Ind.
Bob was a retired master plumber. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and being outdoors. He loved animals, raising chickens and horses and was a general “handy man,” able to do most anything. He and Doris loved to travel and go camping, and especially enjoyed trips to their land in Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Doris Knoy of Maypearl; his sister Betty Jiggitts of Naples, Fla.; his niece, Sherrie Fuller of Austin; and numerous other nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors.
Graveside services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. at the Maypearl Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
