Paul Gregory Davis

Paul Gregory Davis, 53, of Fern Park, Fla., went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Audrey Davis, of Jupiter, Fla. He is survived by his daughters, Isabelle and Arianna, and their mother, Debbie Davis. He is also survived by his childhood and special friend, Anita Barnes, of Waxahachie, Texas. Other family members include his cousins, Jack and Cindy Jackson, Tom and Sandy Owen, and Lucy Weizer, his aunt. Greg Davis received a master’s of divinity degree from Ashland University in Ohio and a bachelor’s of arts degree from Central Bible College in Missouri. He grew up the only son of missionaries in Liberia, West Africa. He was a minister in Jupiter, Fla., and a missionary in Ireland. He was also a professional counselor, technical writer, accomplished photographer, published author and poet. He traveled extensively throughout the world. Most recently he served as the visual arts/IT coordinator at Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland, Fla. The family would like to thank the staff and members of Orangewood Presbyterian Church for their prayers and kindnesses toward Greg. Special thanks also to Jose Gil Montanez, Greg’s “extraordinary angel,” and to VITAS Hospice. A memorial service was held at Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland, Fla., at 7 p.m., and was officiated by the Rev. Jeff Jakes and the Rev. John Smith, Dr. Bob Rhoden and Dr. Reggie Kidd. Interment was at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, Fla., on Sept. 14, 2007, at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Armonia Ministry, a holistic ministry, meeting the needs of the poor in Mexico City and Oaxaca.
