Lyndell Maurice Bankston, 46, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2007, in an Oklahoma hospital.

His funeral was Wednesday at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home and he was buried as Venus Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born Dec.13, 1960, in Plainview, Texas to Reece and Barbara Sue Bankston.

Lyndell was a welder by trade.

Music and songwriting was his passion. He was very talented and could play anything that had strings on it.

Lyndell was also a very good cook and enjoyed it very much. Of all his talents and enjoyments of life, the one thing that he enjoyed most was his family and spending time with them. He will be missed by so many close friends and all who loved him dearly.

He is survived by parents, Reece and Barbara Sue Bankston of Marietta, Okla.; brothers, Kevin Bankston and wife, Theresa of Burleson, and Corey Bankston of Garland; sister, Terrie Sue Perez and husband, Garth of Garland; two nieces, four nephews; a special uncle, Charles W. Bankston of Alvarado; grandmother, Katherine “DeeDee” Bankston; and a host of other family members and friends.
