Kerry “Butch” Horne, 56, the owner and operator of Home Sign Service, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at his residence.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 8, at Clayton Kay-Vaughn Funeral Home’s Chapel in Grandview.

Butch loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing. He enjoyed the mountains, especially at the family cabin in New Mexico. He was an animal lover and enjoyed all sporting events.

Butch was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and was known by his grandson as “Pee-Paw.”

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paula Horne of Covington, his daughter Kaylee Horne of Burleson, his grandson Colton Burns, his father Kerry Wayne Horne of Alvarado, and numberous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lee Horne, and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
