Jesse P. “Lucky” Medlock Sr., 61, of Red Oak passed away early Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1949, in McAlester, Okla., to Ray Kenard and Leola Faye (Henson) Medlock. Jesse had a 25-year career in law enforcement. He was a beloved father, grandfather and brother who was great with children.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse Medlock and wife, Jayne of Arlington, and Kenneth Medlock and wife, Cindy of Slidell, La.; one daughter, Cheryl Kalmanson and husband, Jack of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Ryan, Ricky, Amanda, Kyle, Amber, Justin, Jaime and Sydney; great-granddaughter, Madison; four sisters, Janet Cook and husband, Joe of Malakoff, Donna Paul and husband, Terry, Nancy Praytor and husband, Jesse and Gracie Trent and husband, Jerry all of Corsicana; and one brother, Ronnie McKnight and wife, Linda of Corsicana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery.
