Glenda Faye Barber, 69, of Milford passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Arlington Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Colorado to John and Flossie Elizabeth (Wilson) Morgan. Glenda had been a proud employee of Walmart for 21 years.
She never met a stranger and had many, many friends. She loved to go on family vacations. She was a member of Eastern Star and First Assembly of God Church in Milford. Glenda was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Sommers and husband, Dave, of Arlington; son, Ricky Barber and fiancée, Jessie Mauldin, of Maypearl; grandchildren, Zachary Barber, Kennedy Barber, Attie Barber and Hiley Mauldin; sisters, Joann Barnes, Muriel Smith and Gayle Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Dewayne Winchester; and two brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Brother John Wheatley officiating.
Interment will follow at Milford Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Morgan, Jerry Wayne Morgan, Glen Smith, Mark Griffith and Vance Griffith.
